Goliad High School students last year collected enough food to help one family that Thanksgiving. This year, they set a goal of helping more families.
“In discussing the project, members felt that there were more families in need, so we asked the other organizations if they wanted to help with the project,” said Gigi Ousley, student council sponsor. “This year we were able to distribute five Thanksgiving meals to families in Goliad County.”
Student council, FFA, band, athletics. National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Book Club, ASL and Tigers for Christ all participated in the project.
“I am really proud of these organizations and their members for recognizing the need and stepping up to make the project happen,” Ousley said.
